Vest: Zara {recent, similar} | Tee | Jeans | Shoes | Bag | Sunglasses | Necklace: LJC Designs

I don't know about anyone else, but I feel like I'm having a hard time finding the balance between my personal style and the super sleek modern take on spring. Bright prints, bold patterns and colour blocking has always been my thing and the thought of an all-neutral ensemble always has me asking "But where's the pattern or colour?".  While I am an advocate for sticking with a style that you feel best represents you, giving a trend a test drive doesn't hurt either. This outfit is a personal compromise between spring's zen-like influence and my personal penchant for bling (the shoes) and flair (the necklace).

How do you blend your personal style and trending styles?

  5. I'm definitely the opposite of you. I love neutrals and am slightly obsessed with black and white. So, when spring and summer comes, I'm often finding ways to add a pop of colour. I try to stick mostly with what I love and I'm comfortable with as I feel more confident in a black dress with coloured accessories than I do in a full pattern.

  14. My style is always changing, and I'm more apt to embrace trends now then I use to be. I think changing the colours or prints of the season is easy as long as you stick to cuts/silhouettes you know work for you.
