Florida Uniform

Hat: Olivia Luko | Dress: c/o Lily Pulitzer | Earrings: Old, similar | Bag: Chloe | Sandals: c/o Jack Rogers | Watch: MK | Sunglasses: Celine
Sharing a sneak peek at one of my favourite outfit combos on vaca: a fun printed shift dress from Lily Pulitzer. We started our trip in Cape Coral, Florida and have recently made our way to Singer Island (close to Palm Beach). Oversized hats, flip flops and an array of sunnies are definitely in my #ootd plans for the next week!

Wardrobe Updates with Luisaviaroma

With sleet and snow far behind us, I’m so excited to be getting a sneak peek of all things luxury for spring 2017 with Luisaviaroma for out time in Florida. A top luxury destination online, Luisaviaroma carries the likes of Valentino, Gucci, Saint Laurent and more. Often receiving unique collections far beyond our local department store, it’s the perfect way to begin creating your spring wish list for 2017.
When it comes to luxury items, I’m a sucker for a classic. After falling madly in love with the kitten heels earlier this year, the Valentino Rockstud Sandal was a must have. The redesign of this wardrobe summer item features a gladiator style that pairs perfectly with the season’s trends. Knowing it will be a while before I’m back in a tee and jean shorts, I also opted for this Gucci wool scarf. Double sided, this item acts as a great layering piece for summer as shown or in winter with a chunky white turtleneck.
With new items arriving daily, be sure to keep an eye out for your next purchase ;) (Like those Gucci loafers for spring!). And for my Canadian readers – I highly recommend browsing any wish list items on this website first. The luxury goods are not only priced more reasonable than our local department stores but all prices includes duties and shipping – SO amazing!

Snow Day

Jacket: c/o Parajumpers {similar here, here on sale and here} | Turtleneck: Old, Similar | Plaid Shirt: Joe Fresh {also love this} | Jeans: AG | Socks: Roots | Boots: Ugg | Toque: Similar | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Plaid Blanket Scarf: Similar here and here | Bag: Gucci | Watch: MK
A peak at what an #ootd on a snow day (15 cm!) really looks like around here ;) I bought these boots 2 years ago and they pretty much become my staple from December to March in Canada. A little on the bulky side – and sure, they’re not the cutest – but they keep your toes toasty and are comfortable to last all day.
!function(d,s,id){var e, p = /^http:/.test(d.location) ? ‘http’ : ‘https’;if(!d.getElementById(id)) {e = d.createElement(s);e.id = id;e.src = p + ‘://’ + ‘widgets.rewardstyle.com’ + ‘/js/shopthepost.js’;d.body.appendChild(e);}if(typeof window.__stp === ‘object’) if(d.readyState === ‘complete’) {window.__stp.init();}}(document, ‘script’, ‘shopthepost-script’);

Wrapped in Plaid

Hat: Old, similar | Sweater: c/o H&M {sold out, similar here and here} | Shirt: J. Crew | Pants: Old, similar | Bag: Prada {Designer Dupe} | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Boots: Nordstrom | Watch: MK | Scarf: old, similar here, here and here | Lips: Smashbox in Bang Bang
Another crazy week around here! We’re packing up and heading to sunny Florida tomorrow – woo hoo! So excited to be trading in my scarves and toques for maxi dresses like this and sandals like these. Be sure to follow along on Insta stories for behind the scenes :)
!function(d,s,id){var e, p = /^http:/.test(d.location) ? ‘http’ : ‘https’;if(!d.getElementById(id)) {e = d.createElement(s);e.id = id;e.src = p + ‘://’ + ‘widgets.rewardstyle.com’ + ‘/js/shopthepost.js’;d.body.appendChild(e);}if(typeof window.__stp === ‘object’) if(d.readyState === ‘complete’) {window.__stp.init();}}(document, ‘script’, ‘shopthepost-script’);

Cheerful in Check

Sweater: Old, Similar here and here | Scarf: Old, similar | Jeans: AG {Doop for under $100} | Boots: c/o Vince Camuto | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Bag: Prada {Designer Dupe} | Lips: Smashbox in Babe Alert | Watch: MK | Rings: c/o Blu Boho
Two major snowfalls and a dip in temps and it definitely feels like winter around here. I see no issues going with cropped jeans in weather 0 degrees and above but when the weather constantly seems to be -5 and lower, it’s officially boot season.
These black over the knee boots are a fun addition to my wardrobe. I’ll be honest, I always struggle with OTK boots for my height (5’4). I feel like they just go a tad too high on my thigh and almost miss the ‘look’ that they’re supposed to evoke. This pair from Vince Camuto has a great chunky heel, suede fabric and captures that perfect OTK look without looking goofy.

Meet my new BFF

As many of you may know, aside from blogging, I still work full time as a Social Media Strategist within an agency. Managing a career, blog, personal life and making time for a jaunt out of the country here and there can prove to be difficult at times (ok, all the time). Anybody who knows me, knows I rely on my phone and my agenda (always need a plan B!) to keep me organized otherwise, the type A girl in my becomes borderline manic panic.

Not only do I work at an agency supported by a Google platform but most of the behind-the-scenes work of the blog is based on Google software as well. So you can imagine my intrigue with the launch of its new smartphone – Pixel – available at Best Buy Mobile
Maybe one of my intriguing parts about the phone is the Google Assistant feature. Being the kind of gal who makes sticky notes right before bed and leaves them on her laptop, on the door before heading out in the morning or puts a marker on her hand (yes, I’m a child lol), having the ability to tell my phone to remind me to pick up the dry cleaning tomorrow at 8AM is a dream.

I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of a pin code on a phone – get me before my coffee and I can barely tell you my name let alone another 4 digit code. I love that I can unlock the phone from the back all with the tough of my fingerprint.

But who are we kidding, sure the assistant feature is cool, and the privacy factor is amazing, but a camera really is a make or break deal when it comes to smartphones – no? I’m happy to report that compared side by side with the iPhone 7, I have to admit the quality, clarity and colours were much more crisp and appealing on the Pixel
And tell me you haven’t been on vacation snapping a 1,000+ pictures of palm trees, pink buildings, getting the perfect gelato shot or more and found out you have 0 storage left? (Guilt!). This phone packs a punch with unlimited storage for photos and videos so you no longer have to edit down when you catch sight of your next instagram shot!

Always an iPhone girl, I was nervous if switching from one interface to another would be difficult but I found all my apps and accessing Google Play was a cinch!

And yes for those wondering – the selfie side of the camera on this thing is amazing lol!

Cross checking the reminders I set through the day on my phone with my agenda.

Another great feature? With a charge lasting a full 7 hours, I can head to the office or meet a client downtown for lunch and be rest assured I won’t be searching my bag for that backup charge, cable and – oh you know the drill ;) Overall, I’m definitely impressed with the Google Pixel phone and have begun incorporating it into my day-to-day work routine.
I must admit, the kind folks at my local Best Buy Mobile are the reason I’m so knowledgable on the ins and outs of my phone. I dropped by one evening with a few questions and was personally walked through the highlights of the phone and had all questions specific to my day-to-day needs answered. Whether it’s a gift from me-to-me or for the techie in your life, this girl gives her thumbs up!
Thank you to Best Buy for sponsoring this post. All opinions and thoughts expressed are my own :)

Keep Me Warm

Ear Muffs: c/o RW&CO | Sweater: c/o RW&CO | Shirt: Gap {Old, similar} | Jeans: J Brand | Shoes: c/o Pour La Victoire {loving these} | Scarf: c/o RW&CO | Bag: Givenchy {similar} | Sunglasses: Karen Walker
With consistent sub-zero temperatures in the forecast, keeping cozy but chic gets harder and harder as the days pass. Layering button up shirts under cozy sweaters is crucial (perhaps even adding a thin cami under for an extra layer of warmth) to surviving the cold. And of course – cute accessories don’t hurt either ;) Never shying away from adorable layers, textures and colours – RW&CO has an amazing assortment of sweaters, coats, cold weather accessories and more to help you combat the cool in style ;)

Cozying up Fireside

Beanie: c/o Express | Sweater: c/o Express | Jeans: c/o Express | Bracelets: c/o Express | Clutch: c/o Express | Lipgloss: c/o Express

As everyone gets into the hustle and bustle mode of the season, I most look forward to time off with family. A cozy morning in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate overflowing with marshmallows is definitely on the top of my to-do list this holiday season with family.

I still haven’t parted with blush tones from the summer and love incorporating these Express winter white jeans into my #ootd. I find it just brightens your mood and makes you forget there’s likely a foot of snow sitting outside

Another item I love this season? The off-the-shoulder sweater. No need for a cold shoulder here – opt for pastel hues like baby pink or white to add some airy tones to your overall look. And what’s any cozy look without a pom-pom toque? I’ll take mine with a metallic finish please!

Whatever your plans are this season, wishing you an amazing time with family and friends  :)
