Stylish Soiree’s with Walmart: The Bridal Shower

Hosting girls nights, get togethers or throwing showers is one of my all time favourite things to do. Sure, I get stressed out, I write, rewrite, cross out and make new lists every few hours, and constantly stress about how my ‘theme’ will come to life… but when it’s all said and done, I’m always thrilled with the outcome.

Like I mentioned above, a party is nothing without a theme and trying to find the right source for my go-to party supplies is crucial to ensuring a vision comes to life. Being able to drop by my local Walmart for party supplies to help bring this fun afternoon from a Pinterest board to real life was a pinch. From invitations to table décor to flatware and everything in between, I was able to set up this entire get together with items from Walmart (yes, even the champagne!).
In keeping with a bridal shower theme, I wanted to create an atmosphere that was fun, feminine but also fresh feeling for fall. Using the ‘love’ wall balloon helped set the tone for the palette – rose gold – and peppering in accents of pink, yellow and gold throughout the setting helped make this event pop on film and in real life. One of my favourite finds at Walmart when setting up this event was the portable helium tank which allowed us to blow up the oversized balloons on our own. So often the extra trip to the store seems to be another hour you don’t have and an unnecessary expense.
The ‘I Do Crew’ wine glasses were one of my favourite touches from the collection as well as the gold foil Mr. and Mrs. Ombre napkins. Another fav? The marble candle stick holders. Traditionally reserved for more intimate dinners, I liked that it added some height and oomph to the table setting.
And don’t get me started on the food. From a charcuterie board to sweet treats, I love providing snack options for guests they can serve to themselves during an event. It helps the hostess in between courses and is great for those looking for a little snack after supper. I often empty out my bar cart and use it as a portable drink and snack tray to move around the house at different times during events to ensure everyone is taken care.

From décor to supplies and snacks, Walmart definitely has your next party in the books and one for your guests to remember!
